Right now God is going to pour in your life a powerful answer, a rain of blessings, he promised and he will; we just need to learn to execute this event.
In Luck 18:1 when I read the story about the insistent widow and the unfear judge we see how a unprotected woman could bow down the unfear and evil judge and make her answer a petition and the Lord in His wisdom teaches us that if this unfear and evil judge could answer to this helpless widow only because she insisted how much He, who is good and fear would answer the insistent petitions of His sons?
When my 5 years old son wants something he is very perseverant and almost always he gets what he wants, every time that I see that attitude in him make me think and I think in the same way we should be with God. Jesus emphasize over and over about it. When something repeats several times on the Scriptures is because it has important for us.
The insistent attitude says a lot about us, when we insist we show that we believe God’s promises, that we have faith in His answer, that we wait in Him with patience, that we know the Lord is powerful, that we trust in His word, that we understand he is faithful and He is not a liar. This and many more things we say with our insistent attitude. The insistence is also way to show consecration and fidelity, we are really interesting in get what we want and it’s not a momentary whim, but we really desired.
Jesus said: If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him? (Mathew 7:11)
God proves our patience and fidelity while we ask; we must reclaim God’s promises and pray according to them. Lord likes insistent sons. He doesn’t have another alternative that answer us.
“Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth. Then he prayed again, and heaven gave rain, and the earth bore its fruit” James 5:17-18
According to the story in 1Kings 18:41 Elijah knew that a big rain were coming, his spiritual ears perceived the big blessing, however he prayed fervently so that happen, the people who know the Lord know that they should tie off the rains with an insistent and fervent prayer.
Do you really want that answer? Are you insisting daily to your Father so He answers? These questions evaluate how your level faith is? Remember that according to your faith it will be done, and if you insist you show your big faith.
Trust and insist like Elijah and God will surprise you. Remember that over your life…a big rain is listening.
